Where is the island of Nevis located?

Nevis is nestled in the Caribbean Sea, forming one half of the twin-island nation of St. Kitts and Nevis. Located in the Leeward Islands segment of the Lesser Antilles chain, Nevis lies southeast of Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands and to the west of Antigua and Barbuda. It is positioned roughly 220 miles southeast of Puerto Rico and about 50 miles west of Antigua.

As the smaller of the two islands in the federation, Nevis spans approximately 36 square miles. The island is nearly circular in shape, with its most striking feature being Nevis Peak, a dormant volcano standing at 3,232 feet. This peak is enveloped in lush tropical rainforest, home to a diverse array of flora and fauna.

Encircled by pristine beaches and clear blue waters, Nevis is a favored destination for tourists in search of natural beauty and serenity. The island's coastal areas, bordered by the Caribbean Sea to the west and the Atlantic Ocean to the east, offer spectacular views and numerous water activities such as snorkeling, diving, and sailing.
