Update: participation in the interview will be obligatory for applicants for citizenship of Antigua and Barbuda

On November 13, the country declared the start of compulsory interviews for individuals applying for passport.

This update will take effect commencing from December 15, 2023. The interviews will be done during Due Diligence. Everyone over the age of 16 is to go through the interview process, as stated by the Citizenship by Investment Unit (CIU). The cost amounts to $1,500 for one application.

Applicants are due to submit identity documents and show up for an interview. They will be scheduled in advance and conducted online via Zoom or similar platform.

As for the language of interview, it will be English. But, in case an interviewee does not speak English, he will be offered a native language.
