São Tomé and Príncipe Unveils Citizenship by Investment Program with Dubai Hub
Effective August 1st, the program offers second citizenship in 6 weeks via Dubai-based PPP. From $90k donation + $5k fee (single applicant).
According to Reuters, the U.S. administration is exploring new measures to restrict entry for citizens of several countries. However, contrary to expectations, Russia was not included in any of the three categorized lists cited by the source.
The first group includes 10 countries whose citizens may face a complete entry ban to the United States. These are Afghanistan, North Korea, Cuba, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Venezuela, and Yemen. These measures are likely tied to current geopolitical dynamics and national security considerations.
The second group comprises 5 nations whose citizens could be denied tourist, student, and certain other visa types. These include Eritrea, Haiti, Laos, Myanmar, and South Sudan. Experts suggest such steps aim to curb illegal migration and visa regime violations.
The third category covers 26 countries, including Belarus, Cambodia, Liberia, and Vanuatu. They will be given time to address "deficiencies" in documentation and procedures before visa restrictions are imposed. This decision may relate to technical or administrative issues requiring adjustments by the authorities of these states. Notably, Grenada is absent from the list, which may be explained by the excellent diplomatic relations between the two countries.
Russia’s absence from the lists has raised questions among analysts. Some link this to ongoing diplomatic negotiations, while others point to migration statistics peculiarities. Nonetheless, the situation remains fluid, and U.S. visa policy may be adjusted depending on international relations developments.
No official statement has been issued by U.S. authorities yet, but should the initiative move forward, it will impact thousands of citizens from the listed countries planning trips to the U.S.
